We SURVIVED Rush Week!

We survived Rush week!

A HUGE thank you goes out to all of the full time and student staff at the University Store! Not only did we work our regular scheduled hours but many students volunteered and worked extra hours! At times the lines were extremely long, everyone waited patiently. In return our cashiers greeted every customer with a smile and excellent customer service. Rush week ran smoothly, considering we didn’t have a power outage or a flooded water fountain like semesters past. I would have to say this semester is off to a great start!

Text Rental alone had just over 4,000 students come through to rent their text books! On top of that students were coming through to buy supplemental books, school supplies, and apparel items. Let’s just say we were at our full capacity for majority of the week. Keeping a store looking nice takes a lot of work. But, to keep a store looking its best while the entire student body is coming through takes much more than a lot of work. Our floor associates are constantly restocking shelves to keep art and school supplies stocked. Erin our merchandise buyer is reordering supplies daily as to keep up with the demands of supplies. Pat and our Shipping and Receiving Clerks are hard at work checking in orders, and pricing them to be put on the shelves. This is just a tiny glimpse as to how much work goes into keeping our store stocked and looking tidy.

I’ve snapped a few photos of our staff hard at work

New Addition...Wheres your SP been?

Sgt. Brian Southworth who received one of the UWSP care packages sent in late 2009 sent us a thank you!

"I would like to take this time to thank you for sending the care packages. The above photo is of Brian and the gifts that he received. Where has my 'SP been? Well to answer that question with out making a long story out of it, I am currently in Camp Cropper, Iraq. My job in the military is a Diesel Mechanic however, my job while in Iraq is a Zone Representative for Detention Operations. Not many Americans know about this place because of it's high level of security. Thank you once again for sending the packages."
